Privacy Policy
Last updated May 8, 2026
This page explains what information ExpenseDash handles, why it is used, and the boundaries around connected services such as Google Drive.
This Privacy Policy explains how ExpenseDash collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information when you use the app. It applies to information you provide directly, information created when you use the product, and information received from connected services that you choose to link.
ExpenseDash is designed to help you import, organize, and understand personal financial data. Because the product can process transaction history and imported statements, we aim to keep data use limited to what is needed to operate the service.
We may collect account details such as your email address and authentication data needed to create and secure your account.
We may collect financial information that you upload or import, including transaction descriptions, dates, amounts, categories, statement files, and related metadata needed to process those imports.
If you connect Google Drive, we may access the Google account information and Drive content that you authorize so the app can locate, import, and sync your selected files or folders.
We may also collect basic technical information such as device, browser, log, and usage data to keep the app reliable, secure, and performant.
We use personal information to provide the core service, including authenticating your account, importing statements, processing transactions, organizing categories, and displaying your dashboard.
We may use information to maintain security, prevent abuse, fix bugs, support users, and improve product quality. We do not use your imported Google Drive data to train public models or for advertising purposes.
Google Drive access is used only when you choose to connect it. That access is used to identify the files or folders you want to import and to process those files inside ExpenseDash.
Google user data is not sold. It is not shared except where needed to run the service, comply with law, or protect the security and integrity of the product. Access should be considered limited to the purposes described in this policy.
We may share information with infrastructure and software providers that help us host the app, store data, authenticate users, and run background jobs. Those providers are expected to handle data only as needed to provide their services to ExpenseDash.
We may also disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect users, the service, or our rights.
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. If you disconnect a data source or delete content, some records may remain in backups or logs for a limited period.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect personal information. No system can promise absolute security, so you should also protect your login credentials and connected accounts.
You can choose whether to upload files, connect Google Drive, or continue using particular integrations. You can also disconnect integrations and request account-related changes where supported by the product.
If you need to request access, correction, deletion, or another privacy-related action, use the support contact associated with this deployment of ExpenseDash.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date on this page. Continued use of the service after changes become effective means the updated policy will apply.
